PERIODONTIST

The device (complex) «PERIODONTIST» is intended for treatment and diagnosis of periodontal disease, periodontitis and other periodontal diseases of oral cavity according to the Kulazhenko method (vacuum massage) both along and in combination with modulated laser radiation of the red part of spectrum,  infrared laser radiation, traveling magnetic field and electrophoresis of medication.
For diagnostic purposes, the complex is used to the Kulazhenko method to determine the resistance of capillaries by studying the nature of interstitial hemorrhage.

The complex can be used in specialized dental centers, dental clinics, hospitals, sanatoriums for  treatment of periodontitis, periodontal disease and other periodontal diseases.
Physiotherapeutic procedures have a diverse effect on the human body and have long been used in various fields of medicine. As a result of their use, the activity of inflammatory processes decreases, tissue trophism and periodontal blood circulation improve, reparative processes increase, etc.
   The combined physiotherapeutic effect (laser and magnetic therapy, laser therapy and hydromassage, electrophoresis and vacuum therapy, etc.) is widely used in a complex treatment of many diseases.
   The basic principle of the complex effect is the principle of unidirectional action of the applied physical factors which leads to potentiation of the positive therapeutic effect, as well as to the lengthening of the aftereffect. For example, a combination of vacuum massage according to the method of V. Kulazhenko is pathogenetically justified with low-intensity red laser radiation.
  The vacuum-massaging effect expands the gingival capillaries, brings the blood cells closer to the source of laser radiation, and improves their rheology. As a result, the period of treatment of periodontitis is sharply reduced.
   Features of vacuum laser massage in combination with other methods of physiotherapy (magnetotherapy, electrophoresis, etc.) require the development of new effective equipment based on new methodological approaches. This is the key to successful treatment of periodontitis.

Contraindications

• acute inflammatory processes in periodontal tissues, accompanied by the formation of single or multiple abscesses without outflow of contents;
• acute myocardial infarction;
• stroke;
• systemic blood diseases;
• infectious diseases;
• fever of unknown etiology.
